Brittany Tackett.
Best men were Jake Llewellyn and Neal Llewellyn. Groomsmen were Kasey Denson and
Travis Taylor.
Flower girl was Brynna Pran, and ring bearer was Max Pran.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held on the deck overlooking the beach
at the resort.
The newlyweds reside in Decatur.

of arts degree from NCTC in 1994 and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the
University of North Texas in 1997. He is a nursing student.

gown. The mermaid-style dress featured a pleated tier skirt with beaded lace
applique.
She wore a Vera Wang single-tier cage veil with lace applique and floral
detailing.
She carried a bouquet of cream and pale pink roses, baby’s breath and
cascading greenery.

Billy and the former Donna Thurman were married June 28, 1963, at Blackstone
Assembly of God in River Oaks.
They have three children: Sherry Cochran of Rio Vista, Tonda Galttana of Fort
Worth and the late Blake Galttana; seven grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.
Billy owned a welding business for 25 years. Donna was a bank assistant for 22
years. Both enjoy cruising, traveling, playing games and spending time with

Robert was born in Bridgeport to Homer D. and Addine Garrett. He graduated from
Bridgeport High School in 1960 and retired as a distribution superintendent for
Texas Power & Light (later TXU) after 32 years.
Jo Linda was born in Clovis, N.M., to J.E. and Alma Faye Giles. She graduated
from Bridgeport High in 1963 and retired in 2001 after working as a school
secretary for Denison Independent School District.
Both are members of Parkside Baptist Church, where he serves as a deacon and
Sunday School teacher and she is a member of the choir.

Jimmie and Mary Harris of Boyd celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary April
12, 2013.
Jimmie Harris married the former Mary Payne April 12, 1963, at Northside
Assembly of God Church in Fort Worth.
The couple met when the groom was moving in across the street from the bride on
South Adams Street in Fort Worth and he went to retrieve the golf clubs his
mother mistakenly left at her house.
After marriage, the couple moved to Little Rock, Ark., while Jim served in the
Air Force. They soon returned to the Fort Worth area and eventually moved south
of Boyd to raise their sons – Darrell Harris of Boyd, Randy Harris of
Springtown and Mark Harris of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
After raising the boys, they fostered three girls – Naomi of Mississippi, Nina
of Azle and Nikki of Montana. The couple now enjoys spending time with their two
grandchildren – Tiffani Harris of San Antonio and Brooke Harris of Springtown.
The couple also has one great-grandchild.
Jimmie graduated from Texas Wesleyan College and worked as chemist and general
manager for Fort Worth Grain Exchange Inspection Service. He enjoys playing
golf, fishing, working around the house and building remote control helicopters.
Mary graduated from St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing, and although
she’s officially retired from All Saint’s Episcopal Hospital, she continues
to serve patients part-time providing in-home nursing care. She’s played piano
accordion and piano at several churches in the greater Fort Worth area, and she
enjoys reading and traveling.

sweetheart neckline in ruched French satin – accented with Swarovski beading
– and a soft, A-line skirt of lace over champagne satin. Scalloped lace
adorned the chapel-length train, which matched her tulle veil.
She carried a bouquet of heirloom brooches from both of the couple’s families.
The bouquet was made by the bride’s mother and included lace from the
bride’s grandmother’s wedding gown.

Her headpiece included a fascinator of feathers, pearls and satin ribbon and a
birdcage veil of Russian netting and bridal illusion.
Her wedding ring was designed by her mother and was made from her parents’
wedding rings.

featured a framed photograph of her late father.

The bride-elect is the 2005 valedictorian of Navasota High School and a 2010
graduate of Texas A&M, where she earned a bachelor of business
administration in accounting and a master of science in taxation. She is a
certified public accountant for Texas A&M University System.
She is the granddaughter of Barbara Sechelski and the late Archie Sechelski Sr.
and the late Pius and Helen Mock, all of Navasota.
The prospective groom graduated from Decatur High School 2005 and earned a
bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences from Texas A&M in 2009. He is
pursuing a master’s degree in medical sciences at University of North Texas
Health Science Center in Fort Worth.
After graduating in May, he will attend medical school at Texas A&M Health
Science Center in Bryan.

Jim and Margaret Keen of Bridgeport will celebrate their 50th wedding
anniversary with a trip to Las Vegas for the National Finals Rodeo, a
celebratory dinner with their family upon their return and later a trip to
Hawaii.

Jim and the former Margaret Combs were married Dec. 6, 1963, in Dallas.
They have two sons, Michael Andrews and wife, Cindy, of Chattanooga, Tenn., and
Craig Keen of Bridgeport; a daughter, the late Lisa Sermons; eight
grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Jim retired from Bell Helicopter in
2000 and enjoys ranching and team roping. He is a member of the Bridgeport Lions
Club and Sons of Confederate Veterans.
Margaret, after a career in marketing, retired from Motorola in 1991 to enjoy
the grandkids.
Both are members of First Baptist Church in Decatur, and together they have
cruised all over the world.

Mike and the former Charlotte McLean were married Dec. 7, 1963, in Vernon.
Their children are Melissa Lockett of Decatur; Jana Lockett-Onstead and husband,
Shane, of Denton; and John Lockett and wife, Tiana, of Alvord. They have eight
grandchildren: Russell and Scott Myers, Bo and Cheyenne Roscoe, Jorja and Jake
Onstead and Brinlee and Landry Lockett; and three great-grandchildren: Preston,
Natalie and Adrian Myers.
Mike retired from Lone Star Gas/TXU after more than 30 years. He works at
Weatherford International. Charlotte retired from the banking industry. They are
members of the Church of Christ.
Throughout the course of their marriage, the couple lived in several Texas towns
and were active in civic organizations and boards along the way, including Lions
Club, chambers of commerce, planning and zoning and economic development boards,
educational organizations and committees, Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, business
women’s club and hospital auxiliaries.
The couple also dedicated countless hours to their children’s interests
including 4-H, Boys Scouts, Girls Scouts, Camp Fire, Decatur Middle School Band
Boosters, Decatur Eagle Dolls, industrial arts and various sports.
The couple now enjoy showing their antique cars and have been involved with
local antique car clubs for many years.
