Antonio, married Dylan Robert Mann of San Antonio, son of Rick and Claire Mann
of Houston and grandson of Lavell Mann of Decatur, at Boulder Springs in New
Braunfels on Aug. 12, 2017.
Chris Cummings officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride was wearing an A-line Essence of Australia bridal gown featuring vine
lace details on a Diamante embellished tulle skirt with a sweetheart neckline.
She wore her grandmother’s pearl necklace and earrings.
For the ceremony, she wore a cathedral-length veil but switched to a
gold-and-pearl hair accessory for the reception.
The bridal bouquet was made with white hydrangea, white baby’s breath, peach
Juliet garden roses, white stock, white peonies and touches of seeded eucalyptus
greenery, finished with an ivory ribbon wrap.
The matron of honor was Jennifer Martin Motz, and the maid of honor was Hayley
Goss. Bridesmaids included Caitlin Mann, Hailey Kreusel, Dorothy Herbst and
Katherine Nicasio.
The bridesmaids wore navy, floor-length gowns. Their bouquets were made of white
hydrangea, white baby’s breath, white mojalika spray roses and seeded
eucalyptus greenery accents. They were finished with an ivory ribbon wrap.
The best man was Ryan Mann, and the groomsmen were Nathan Motz, Matthew Martin
and Jordan Mann.
The soloist was Brandon Williams.
A reception was held at Boulder Springs.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Riviera Maya at Unico 20 87 Resort.
They will make their home in San Antonio.
The bride graduated from Texas A&M University in Galveston and works at
SeaWorld in San Antonio.
The groom also graduated from A&M Galveston and works for The C12 Group.

John and Paulette McCormick of Decatur celebrated their golden anniversary on
March 25, 2017.
Paulette Garrett married John McCormick in Haltom City at the home of her aunt
and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Wood, on March 25, 1967.
The couple has two children, Todd McCormick of Slidell and Brad McCormick of
Decatur.
They have six grandchildren.
John is a retired line superintendent for Wise Electric Co-op. Both are members
of First Baptist Church of Decatur.
The couple celebrated their anniversary on a trip to Branson, Mo.

Dalton married Sharon Keown on Sept. 9, 1967, at the First United Methodist
Church in Decatur.
The couple have a daughter, Angie Browning of Tomball, and a son, Chad
Montgomery of Decatur.
Their grandchildren are Payton, Hayden and Zayne Browning of Tomball, Morgan
Montgomery of McKinney and Cade Montgomery of Decatur.
Dalton is retired from James Wood Motors, and Sharon is a retired Decatur
elementary school teacher. They are members of the First United Methodist Church
in Decatur.

The Rev. Rick Neathery of House of Prayer officiated the single-ring ceremony.
The bride was escorted by Steve Meredith. She wore a traditional, beaded lace
gown with a cathedral-length train and carried a bouquet of aqua, peach and
white roses.
Regina Meredith was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Bethany Anderson, Tammy
Hines and Anna Hamm. They wore dresses of aqua and peach with flowers matching
the bride’s.
Kairi Perez served as flower girl, and Adrian Perez was ringbearer.
The groom’s best man was Tim Anderson. His groomsmen were Ken Stephenson, Lee
Phelps and Bill Shea.

Sunday, March 19, 2017.
Marvin Oates married Cathy Wren March 16, 1956, at Old Methodist Church in
Alvord.
The couple have three children: Mark Oates of Decatur; the late Lisa Oates; and
Scott Oates of Flower Mound. Their grandchildren are Corbin Oates of Decatur and
Sydney and Peyton Oates of Flower Mound.
Marvin is a semi-retired farmer and rancher, and Cathy is a homemaker.
Marvin is a lifetime member of the American Association of Sheriff Posses and
Riding Clubs, also serving as the Region III president, and he’s a member of
the Pleasant Grove Cowboy Church.
Cathy is a member of a poetry club and Pleasant Grove Cowboy Church.
The couple’s family will host an anniversary celebration 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday,
March 19, at Pleasant Grove Cowboy Church in Decatur.

Herman Pryor married Kaleta Simpson in 1947 in Detroit, Texas.
The Decatur couple grew up together in Post Oak. After a few dates, Herman told
Kaleta there was this girl he wanted to ask to marry him but he didn’t know
how.
Kaleta thought he was talking about a past girlfriend and angrily replied,
“Well, you just ask her.” So Herman asked, “Will you marry me?”
The couple’s children are Tommy, Jerry, Barbara, Gary, Charlotte, Ray, Susan,
Larry and Rocky Pryor.
They have nine grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Herman is retired from BK Trucking, and Kaleta is retired from child care.
Both are members of the First Baptist Church in Decatur.
The couple will celebrate their anniversary at home with their children.

bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising from Sam Houston State University
in 2014 and a master’s of education in curriculum and instruction in 2016.
The prospective groom graduated from Decatur High School in 2010. He received a
bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Sam Houston in 2013 and a
master’s in homeland security in 2015.
The bride-elect is a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher and director of Career
Technical Education for Boyd ISD. A member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, she
served as president, freshman orientation leader and SHSU ambassador.
The prospective groom works for the Decatur Police Department. A member of Sigma
Chi fraternity, he served as annotator of the 2010 freshmen leadership class. He
is also a member of the Texas Municipal Police Association.

ceremony.
Orson “Odie” Rodriguez of Fort Worth escorted the bride down the aisle. He
also served as best man.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of yellow daisies, lavender roses,
delphinium, gardenia and yellow freesia by Leslie Pierson.
Her bridesmaids included Vickie Lane, Heather Carroll and Julie Muro.
Connie and Cammillia George and Christopher Rhine performed “Can’t Help
Falling in Love.”
The bride graduated from Southwest High School in Fort Worth and works at Best
Value Rhome Pharmacy.
The groom also graduated from Southwest and works for Desperado Foundation
Drilling.

The couple were married Nov. 11, 1967, at the First Baptist Church in Decatur.
They both graduated from Decatur High School. Don attended Decatur Baptist
College and North Texas State University. He retired as owner of Decatur Auto
Salvage, and Glenda retired from Wise Electric.
They have one daughter, Kim Stone and husband, Rick; and a son, Michael Stone
and wife, Katy. Their grandchildren are Lizzie, Jack and Wiley.

Robert and Janis Talley of Decatur will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary
on Thursday, April 13.
They were married in Bogalusa, La., in 1957 and moved to Texas soon thereafter.
After living in Fort Worth, Haltom City, North Richland Hills and Hurst, the
couple moved to Decatur.
The couple has two sons, Robert E. Talley and wife, Peggy, of Decatur and Keith
Talley and wife, Kim, of Boyd.
They have four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Robert retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic
control supervisor. He then worked as a consultant before taking a position with
Lockheed Martin, where he worked until May of 2015.
Janis was a registered nurse and retired from Grapevine/Colleyville Independent
School District. She continues to work part time for Decatur ISD.

The maid of honor was the bride’s best friend, Stacy Schiel of Fort Worth.
Bridesmaids included Caitlin Marshall, sister-in-law of the bride, Taylor Meyer,
Rachel Morgan, Maegen Wood and Mikaela Brown, all friends of the bride.
The flower girl was Kinley Ann Marshall, the bride’s niece, daughter of Buck
and Caitlin Marshall.
Serving as best man was the groom’s best friend, Cooper Daniel of Fairfield.
Groomsmen included Zane Meyer, Scott Dillon, Kyle Foree, Justin Grimes and Ryan
Campbell. Ryan’s son, James Ryan Campbell, served as ring bearer.
The reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, followed the ceremony at the
Robson Ranch clubhouse.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico.
They reside in Fort Worth.

7, 2017, at First United Methodist Church in Fort Worth.
The Rev. Dr. Mike Marshall officiated the double ring ceremony. Organist Peggy
Graff provided the music.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery L. Eaton of Arlington.
Grandparents are Mrs. Lucy Cleaver of Arlington and Mr. and Mrs. Roy J. Eaton of
Decatur.
Parents of the groom are Mr. David and Dr. Susan Weeks of Aledo. Grandparents
are Mr. and Mrs. Les Mace of Springfield, Mo., and Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Weeks Jr.,
of St. Johns, Fla.
Jessica Eaton, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Hayley
Cox, Katie Kolepp, Emma Green, Sarah Chandel, Sara Gordon, Corinne Queenan and
Shelby Lamon.
Best man was Eric Elsken. Groomsmen were David Frey, Cullen Welch, Taylor
Campbell, Johnny Schwarz, Rene Robert, Ryan Savage and Drew Curd.
Ushers were Benjamin Eaton, cousin of the bride, and Alexander and Andrew Mace,
cousins of the groom. The acolyte was Emma Kuehn, and the flower girl was Adison
Kuehn.
Scripture was read by Melissa Triebwasser, Audrey Malacara, Avanti Sule and
Kathryn West.
Sara is a graduate of The Oakridge School in Arlington and a 2014 graduate of
Texas Christian University with degrees in psychology and sociology. She is a
master’s degree candidate in counseling at the University of North Texas.
Matthew is a graduate of Aledo High School and a 2014 graduate of Texas
Christian University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He is a candidate
for a master’s degree in engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He is
employed at Raytheon in Dallas.
The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Ruth’s Chris
Steakhouse in Fort Worth and featured a large purple cake in the image of a TCU
Horned Frog.
The wedding reception was at the Petroleum Club of Fort Worth and featured the
music of the Royal Dukes Band. The father-daughter dance “Sweet Sara” was
performed by Curt Shannon with Barry Eaton on guitar.
Following a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia the couple is living in Grapevine.

2017.
Delbert married Nina Gentry March 2, 1957.
The couple has three children: Debra Sinclair and husband, Rick, of Decatur;
Doug White and wife, Lori, of Decatur; and Lisa Simon and husband, Randy, of
Decatur.
They have eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Delbert is a retired aircraft mechanic and a member of the “Whataburger Board
of Directors.”
Nina is a retired teacher and a member of Wise Health Auxiliary.
A celebration will be held noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 4, at Aurora Baptist
Church. There will be a lunch and bluegrass jam.

Dan Williams and Beverly Chance met in 1963 at a church softball game in Fort
Worth. He was 16, and she was 15.
They were married at Castleberry Baptist Church Sept. 23, 1967. Together they
pastored several churches over a period of 30 years.
They reside in Decatur and attend First Baptist Church.
They have a daughter, Lori Ticknor and husband, Jason, of Decatur and two
grandchildren, Tyler and Jaci.
The family will host a celebration on Sept. 23 at the Williams home, and they
will take a trip following the celebration.
