The bride is the daughter of Debora and Ray Pryor of Chico and the late Jerry

The groom is the son of Luke and Beth Manuel of Kaufman and the late Cynthia
Pauline Manuel.
Escorted by her brothers, Jesse Danny and Thomas Largent of Chico, the bride
wore a floor-length, ivory chiffon gown from David’s Bridal that featured a
v-neckline adorned with diamonds. She wore white lavender and green flowers in
her hair and carried a bouquet of white lilies and purple and green roses.
Matron of honor was Sarena Pinneke and maid of honor, Dena Lee. Nikki Harris
served as bridesmaid.
Bridal attendants wore lime-green, floor-length chiffon gowns that featured a
sweetheart neckline and diamonds on the side.
Flower girls were Fiona Manuel, the groom’s daughter; Riley Pinneke, daughter
of Sarena and Mark Pinneke; and Monica King, daughter of Dena Lee and Mark King.
Candlelighters were Debora Pryor, the bride’s mother, and Rosie Cannon, the
groom’s grandmother.
Ringbearer was Kayden Pinneke, son of Sarena and Mark Pinneke.

Fred and the former Trumanell Burgess were married March 10, 1974, at the First
Baptist Church of Decatur.
Their children are James and Tara Maples of North Richland Hills. Grandchildren
are Weston and Eli Maples.
Fred is a retired teacher and coach. He serves in various church and community
organizations and enjoys golfing and working on his farm.
Trumanell teaches library sciences at Texas Woman’s University. She is a
member of various church committees, the Decatur Junior Woman’s Club, the Wise
County Retired Teachers Association and Investment Club. She enjoys spending
time with her grandsons.
The couple are members of First United Methodist Church of Decatur.

The prospective groom graduated with honors from the University of North Texas
with a BBA in finance.
He entered into the master’s program at the University of Oklahoma, receiving
the Dunham Scholarship, and attended the London School of Economics in Advanced
Corporate Finance in England and the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad,
India.

bride’s sisters Lauren Davie and Sarah Davie, Roanne Walker and Lily Bickley,
all of Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

North Texas.
He studied advanced corporate finance at the London School of Economics and

29, 2014, with their family and longtime friends at the home of their daughter
and son-in-law, Shawnea’ and Carl Smith, in Jacksboro.

Gary and the former Linda Berry were married March 21, 1964, in Bridgeport by
the Rev. James H. Stiles. They were high school sweethearts and graduates of
Bridgeport High School.
They have two daughters, Shawnea’ Smith and husband, Carl, of Jacksboro and
Shellie Read and husband, Reggie, of Paradise. Grandchildren are Riley Smith
attending Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colo., Allie Smith,
attending Texas Christian University, Reese Read, attending and playing baseball
at Vernon Junior College, Ryhan Read, attending Bridgeport High School, and
Carli Smith, a student at Jacksboro Middle School.
Gary worked for Mitchell Energy and retired after 35 years of service. Linda
worked for NGPL and Mitchell Energy prior to Devon’s buyout and retired from
Devon Energy in 2011.
They are lifetime members of the American Quarter Horse Association and Oklahoma
Racing Association, raising, racing and selling horses for more than 40 years.
They are members of the First Baptist Church of Paradise.
Throughout the course of their marriage, Gary and Linda were active in school
functions and various community, county and charitable boards. Activities
include coaching in the first Paradise girls softball program, Paradise school
board, Park Board president, Bridgeport Historical Society president and Water
Board and Improvement District No. 1 director. Both served as directors on the
Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce, and Linda served as a United Way of Wise County
director for 15 years.
The couple enjoys spending time with their family, traveling to new places and
spending time at their home in Alto, N.M.

counselor in Wichita Falls.

attended Midwestern. He owns Adventure Advertising and coaches three competitive
soccer teams for Mustangs FC.

Calif., were married June 8, 2014, on her parents’ wedding anniversary.

The ceremony and a reception, hosted by the bride and groom, were held at
Thistle Springs Ranch in Cleburne.
The bride is the daughter of Ted and Valerie Davidson of Decatur.
The groom is the son of Andrew and Lindsay Thorne of San Diego.
Dr. Henry Wolmarans of the Promise Church officiated the double-ring ceremony.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory, satin Casablanca gown with
beaded lace appliqu s on Point D’esprit lace. Hand-sewn Swarovski crystals,
pearls, beads and silver-backed crystal sequins accented the beaded lace appliqu
s. The gown featured pearl-encrusted straps and a chapel-length train.
The bride carried a garden-style array of Queen Anne’s lace, soft-peach rosa
Campanella, spray roses and Lisianthus, sky-blue hydrangea, freesia and thistle,
seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller leaves tied with ivory lace and her
great-grandmother’s brooch.
Matron of honor was Tiffany Nichols, and maid of honor was Kitty Skaggs.
Bridesmaids were Hannah Davidson and Kirsten Roberts.
Bridal attendants wore tea-length gowns of light-blue chiffon and carried
bouquets of ivory and blue hydrangea, thistle, peach roses, Queen Anne’s lace,
seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller leaves tied with soft-peach satin.
Best man was Frank Fournier, and groomsmen were Aaron Zaiser, Nash Mills and Dan
Klimkowski.
Ushers were Ethan and Caleb Davidson.
Guestbook attendants were Sophie Platt and Berklee Dressler.
The couple took a four-week wedding trip to South Africa and toured the wine
country, went shark diving, interacted with baby tigers and lions at a
sanctuary, and took safari drives through Kruger National Park.
They will live in Los Angeles, where Matthew is stationed at the Los Angeles
Space and Missile Systems Center.
The bride graduated from Decatur High School in 2008 and earned a degree in
radiologic sciences from Midwestern State University in 2012. She works for Cook
Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth.
The groom graduated from Poway High School in 2007, the Air Force Academy in
2011 and earned a master’s degree in business administration from Oklahoma
State University in 2014. He works for the United States Air Force.
