The bride is the daughter of Dike Read of Cottondale and Linda Read of Paradise.
The groom is the son of Shawna and Ben Allen of Paradise. The bride was escorted
by her father. Maid of honor was Paige Read, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids
were Crissy Mara, Priscilla Franklin and Brittany Allen, sister of the groom.
Best man was Taylor Allen, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Clay Winstead,
Aaron Sugg and Chase Pennington. Ushers were Cooper Read and Caleb Read,
brothers of the bride. Guestbook attendant was Sissi Mundy. Following the
ceremony, a reception hosted by the bride's parents was held at The Club. Ashley
Pack and Sissi Mundy were servers. The bride is a graduate of Paradise High
School and Weatherford College School of Cosmetology. She was previously
employed at Flawless Lines. The groom is a graduate of Springtown High School
and is in the United States Air Force. Following a wedding trip to Plano, the
couple resides in Great Falls, Mont., where the groom is stationed.

married Feb. 14, 2009, at the Chapelle des Fleurs in Flower Mound. Ken May of
the First Baptist Church in Decatur officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Gaylon Dorsey and Sherry Dickenson, both of
Decatur. The groom is the son of James and Dee Ann Archer of Decatur. Escorted
by her father, the bride wore an ivory trumpet gown with beaded lace applique,
mermaid style halter top, a godet skirt and a chapel-length train. She wore a
short, ivory, one-tier veil with scattered rhinestones, diamond stud earrings
and a pearl bracelet with gold and diamond heels. She carried a bouquet of ivory
hydrangeas, pink cymbidium orchids, pink and ivory roses and white stephanotis
wrapped in an ivory satin ribbon. Matron of honor was Lezlie Buchanan.
Bridesmaids were Abbie Meyers, cousin of the bride, Stephanie Sanders, friend of
the bride, and Sarah Skodack, cousin of the groom. They wore marine floor-length
gowns and carried bouquets of pink roses, ivory hydrangeas and pink calla
lilies, wrapped in pink satin ribbons. Flowergirls were Ema Jade Howerton and
Elissa Dottie Howerton, daughters of Eddie and Jennifer Howerton. Ringbearer was
Jake Peters, son of Mark and Antionette Peters. Best man was Mark Alred and
groomsmen were Jacob Osborne, Jeff Russell, Casey Collins, Jay Kelly and Dwight

reception was held at Chapelle des Fleurs. The bride is a 1998 graduate of
Slidell High School. She received her bachelor's degree in 2004 and her master's
of business administration degree in 2006 from Texas Woman's University. She is
employed by GE Commercial Finance in Addison. The groom is a 1995 graduate of
Decatur High School. He received his bachelor's degree in business
administration in 2002 from the University of North Texas. He is employed by
ReMark Capital in Las Colinas. Following a honeymoon Caribbean cruise, the
couple live in Euless.

Lyman and Janette Arthur of Paradise will celebrate their 50th wedding
anniversary with a reception 7 to 10 p. m. Friday, Aug. 7, at the Bridgeport
Lions Club.
Lyman Arthur and the former Janette Pierce were married Aug. 7, 1959, in
Decatur. They have three children, Wayne Arthur and wife, Karen, and Anthony
Arthur and wife, Ginger, all of Paradise, and Regina Arthur of Justin; eight
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Lyman retired after 25 years from
Bar-W Meat Co. in Fort Worth, where he was the director of maintenance. He is
employed as a maintenance advisor for Kennedy's Sausage in Weatherford. Janette
retired from the Bridgeport Post Office after 18 years.

Franklin Blank and the former Nancy Huff were married April 25, 1959, in
Holyoke, Mass. The couple has three children, David Blank of Carrollton, Dawn
Scheffer and Robert Blank, both of Krum; and seven grandchildren. Franklin is a
mechanic for American Airlines. Nancy is a housewife. They are members of
Trinity Lutheran Church, Wise Antique Auto Club, Wise County Historical Society
and Chisholm Trail Tractor Club. Franklin is also a member of the Wise County
Fossil, Rock and Mineral Society.

and her son, Bryson Allen, the bride wore a white satin A-line gown with a
pleated bodice, beaded lace appliqu s and a sweep train. Her headpiece was a
tiara with Swarovski crystals. She wore black and white zebra print shoes. She
carried a bouquet of a dozen fuschia Gerber daisies and black boa feathers
accented with Swarovski crystals and hand-tied with zebra print ribbon,
featuring her grandmother's white handkerchief drapped from the bottom of the
bouquet. Matron of honor was Kim Farrow of Rhome and maid of honor was Amber
Cornell of Decatur, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kaley Williamson of
Stephenville, cousin of the bride, and Amber Bybee of Fort Worth. Honor
attendants wore black knee-length dresses with fuschia sashes and zebra print
shoes. They carried bouquets that mimicked the bride's. Flower girls were
MaKenna and Trinity Farrow of Rhome, daughters of Kevin and Kim Farrow.

Milvern L. and Margaret Ann Cude celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary May
28, 2009.
Milvern Cude and the former Margaret Gettys were married May 28, 1949, at the
Decatur home of the bride's parents. Milvern was a Navy pilot in World War II.
Margaret Ann was a teacher and dental assistant before becoming a homemaker
after marriage. Margaret Ann worked with Milvern in his Decatur florist shop
business and nursery farm between Bridgeport and Decatur. They have two sons,
Murray Cude and Melton Cude and wife, Arlena; and two grandchildren, Amy and
David Cude.

party rendezvoused at Central Park Boathouse where guests were provided boats
and encouraged to row to Bow Bridge. Vows were spoken beneath the cast iron
architecture of this famous bridge. Guests were then invited to idly explore the

Rev. Moore was also the soloist. A reception hosted by the groom was at The Park
Room at Helmsley Park Lane Hotel overlooking Central Park. The bride attended

arts degree in mathematics from Queens College, CUNY, New York in 1969. He
received an honorary doctorate in technology in 1992 from De Montfort University
in Leicester, United Kingdom, and in 2005, he received a master of science in
computers in education at Long Island University in Brookville, N. Y. He is a
specialist in learning systems design and technology and is recognized as a
leading authority in the field of international computer standards and
programming languages. He is retired. The couple plan a spring trip to the
French Riviera, and they live in Woodstock.

Reece and the former Berniece Tims were married July 25, 1959, in Bowie. They
have three daughters, Karen Culpepper and husband, James, of Bridgeport, Karla
Hattan and husband, Ricky, of Gainesville and Samantha Remington and husband,
Matt, of Decatur; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Reece is
retired after 30 years at Lone Star Gas Company. He is a contract pumper for
Billy Morrow and is a deacon at Pleasant View Baptist Church. Berniece is the
secretary at Pleasant View Baptist Church. She worked in the insurance
department at the Family Clinic for Dr. David Ray for many years. The couple
