Lacasey Vaught, daughter of Danny and Betty Vaught of Bridgeport, will marry Jeremy Aaron, son of David and Janet Aaron of Azle, on Sept. 18, 2004, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Mineral Wells. Father Gonzo Morales will officiate.
The bride-elect is a Bridgeport High School graduate, attended Weatherford College and works for Devon Energy.
The prospective groom graduated from Azle High School, attended Weatherford College and is employed by Tri-Co Electric.

Jessica Fuqua of Denton, daughter of Cristy and Kenneth Fuqua of Paradise, married Ray Alford of Denton, son of Angela Teetrick and Forrest Charles Chapman of Whitesboro, in the Wise County Courthouse District Courtroom on May 22, 2004.
A reception was given by the bride’s parents at the Lions Club.
The bride is a 1994 graduate of Paradise High School.
The groom is a 1993 graduate of Whitesboro High School.
Both work for Labinal in Corinth. They reside in Denton.

The bride-elect graduated from Decatur High School in 2003 and is a music major at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The prospective groom graduated from Decatur High School in 2001 and is a sound engineer major at Oral Roberts University.

Marriage vows exchanged July 24, 2004
Sarah Elizabeth Milligan of Decatur and Trenton Dale Allen of Decatur were married July 24, 2004, at River of Life Church in Decatur. The Rev. Greg Mohr, pastor of River of Life Church and Paul Milligan, father of the bride, officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Paul and Patsy Milligan of Decatur.
The groom is the son of Todd and Jennifer Allen of Decatur.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white strapless gown with a fitted bodice with Victorian stays covered with beadwork and embroidered flowers. The full skirt had an overlay with floating sequins as well as beadwork and embroidered flowers. Her headpiece was a tiara with an elbow-length veil.
The bride carried red and white roses with cranberry alstromeria, white stock and beaded pearls.
Matron of honor was Shana Scoggins of Roanoke. Bridesmatrons were Lana Boner, sister of the bride, and Jessica Milligan, sister-in-law of the bride, both of Decatur. Bridesmaids were sisters of the groom, Janelle Allen and Sarah Allen, both of Decatur. The honor attendants wore red dresses and carried red roses and cranberry alstromeria.
The flower girls were nieces of the bride of Decatur, Kallie Boner, daughter of Kenny and Lana Boner and Anna Milligan, daughter of Andy and Jessica Milligan. Ringbearer was Jack Hayhurst of Decatur, son of Conor and Laurie Hayhurst.
Best man was Brett Davis of Newark. Groomsmen were Conor Hayhurst, Andy Milligan, brother of the bride, and Robbie Surratt, all of Decatur, and Luke Duler of Brigeport. Ushers were Kenny Boner of Decatur, brother-in-law of the bride, Phillip Scoggins of Roanoke and Daniel Milligan of Fort Worth, cousin of the bride.
Guest book attendant was Heather West of Decatur. Pianist was Brad Logan of Bridgeport and guitarist was Andrew McKinney of Decatur. Soloist was Sara Milligan of Decatur.
A reception was given by the bride’s parents at the church.
The bride graduated from Decatur High School in 2003. She is a student at Oral Roberts University.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of home-schooling and is also a student at Oral Roberts University.
Following a honeymoon to the Grand Caymen Islands, the couple reside in Tulsa, Okla.

Fiftieth wedding anniversary Jan. 1, 2005
Alvin and Carolyn Bassham of Keeter will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children at the Decatur Civic Center from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005.
Alvin Bassham and the former Carolyn Blythe were married Jan. 1, 1955, in Fort Worth.
He retired from the maintenance department of TXU after 39 years and she is a homemaker. They are members of the Cottondale Church of Christ.
They have three children: Alvin Ray Bassham Jr. and wife, Patty, of Haltom City, Rebecca Bishop and husband, Robert, of Bowie, and Brian Bassham and wife, Mona, of Boyd.
The couple also has 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Marriage vows exchanged Dec. 20, 2003
Stephanie Ann Lee of Decatur, daughter of Dennis and Sonia Lee of Decatur, married Robert David Bates of Greenfield, Ind., son of David and Krista Bates of Greenfield, on Dec. 20, 2003, at 6:30 p.m. at Decatur Church of Christ. Robert Isham of the church officiated the double ring ceremony.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a full length designer gown made of ivory satapeau. The fitted bodice with scooped neckline was trimmed with seed pearls, gold bugle beads and sequins. The delicately beaded waist and chapel-length train were adorned with fine ribbon flowers, seed pearls, gold bugle beads and rhinestones. The headpiece was a simple two-tiered, waist length veil trimmed in seed pearls. The bride carried a bouquet of Baton Rouige roses with exotic greenery.
The maid of honor was Nicole Reece of Richmond, Va. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Taylor of Bristow, Va., Rayel Bates, sister of the groom, of Greenfield, Ind., and Megan Beilve of Dumas, Texas. The attendants wore black crepe dresses with scoop backs and carried flowers resembling the bridal bouquet with cascading Baton Rouige roses and exotic greenery.
Best man was John Sullivan of Nashville, Tenn. Groomsmen were Brandon Bates, cousin of the groom, of Little Hocking, Ohio; Christopher Lee, brother of the bride, of Decatur; and Justin Clay of Lancaster, Ohio.
Ushers were Randy and Ricky Bates, brothers of the groom, of Greenfield.
Guest book attendant was Ruth Ann Cox of Searcy, Ark.
The bride’s parents gave a reception at the Decatur Church of Christ Family Life Center.
Servers were Lori Thornton of Nashville, Rachel Martin, Erika Ross of Searcy, Sarah Bates and Stephanie White of Canton, Ohio.
The couple took a Western Caribbean cruise as their wedding trip.
They will reside in Searcy, Ark., where both attend Harding University. She is pursuing a degree in computer science and works as office manager for Gym Stars. He is working on a master’s degree in accounting and is employed as the assistant manager for Hibbett Sports.

The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Northwest High School and a 2002 graduate of Southern Methodist University with a bachelor of arts degree in religious studies and psychology. She will graduate in May 2005 with a master’s degree in divinity from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta. She is a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority and is employed by the Wesley Foundation at Emory University.
The prospective groom is a 1999 graduate of Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas and a 2003 graduate of Rice University with a bachelor and master of science degree in mechanical engineering. He is a Ph.D. candidate in mechanical engineering at Georgia Tech University in Atlanta. He was a member of the cross country team at Rice University. He is employed by Georgia Tech University.

Fiftieth wedding anniversary May 29, 2004
Charles and Viva Jean Blanks of Chico will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall from 2 until 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 22.
The wife is the former Viva Jean Pitts. The couple was married May 29, 1954, in Whitesboro.
Their children are Keith Blanks of Chico, David Blanks of Dickenson and Doug Blanks of Richland Hills. They also have five grandchildren.
Charles is self employed as the owner of an automotive mechanic shop.
Viva is self employed and semi-retired from child care.
The couple requests no gifts.

Brenda Elton Edwards and David Walter Bosecker, both of Wise County, were married Feb. 14, 2004, in the Candlelight Chapel in Las Vegas, Nev.
The bride is the daughter of Launa Holsenbeck of San Angelo.
The groom is the son of Chris and Ramah Bosecker of Midland.
Best man Ted Bosecker of Midland, brother of the groom, escorted the bride who wore a floor-length lined dress. The bodice and sleeves were scalloped and lined with antique lace. The skirt and bodice had hand-sewn appliques of roses accented with hand-sewn pearls and sequins. The waist was adorned with hand-sewn sequins, and the round neckline and back were decorated with hand-sewn pearls. A silk shawl draped at the elbows.
The matron of honor was Charlotte Bosecker of Midland, sister-in-law of the groom. Both the bride and matron of honor carried nosegays of pink roses and baby’s breath.
A wedding dinner and cake was served at Hugo’s restaurant in downtown Las Vegas.
The bride is a graduate of Lake View High School in San Angelo. She has an associate’s degree in social work from Texas State Technical Institute and a business management credential from Angelo State University. She is employed at the Wise County clerk’s office.
A graduate of Permian Basin High School in Midland, the groom received a bachelor of science degree in agriculture from Tarleton State University and completed the police academy in Weatherford. He is employed as a sergeant at the Wise County Sheriff’s Office.
After a honeymoon in Las Vegas, the couple returned to their home in Wise County.

The bride is the daughter of Terry and Rhonda Harris of Schertz and the granddaughter of Billy and Betty Wiley of Decatur.
The groom is the son of Rita Brogdon of Marion.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless, white satin princess seamed gown accented with Austrian crystal beads at the top and around the chapel-length train. She carried red roses.
Her matron of honor was her sister, April Tobola, and her maid of honor was Sandy George. Bridesmaids were Tiffany Dirks, Annie Price, Leslie Muska, Lisa Snyder and Kim Slyman. They wore strapless red satin floor-length gowns and carried spring bouquets.
Candle lighters were cousins, Reba and Jimmy Harris.
The ringbearer was nephew Breven Tobola.
Best man was Kenneth Fleenor. Groomsmen were Christopher Tobola, Lewis Dodson, Ryan Sales, T. Slaven, Thomas Cho and Jon Lu.
Ushers were cousins, Jeremy and Stephen Rawlings.
A reception was held at the St. Anthony Hotel. After a wedding trip to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico, the couple reside in San Antonio.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Texas State University. She teaches special education in pre-kindergarten.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Texas State University. He is a manager at Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

The bride was escorted by her father. The ceremony was a Marine Corps wedding with eight Marines attending in full uniforms with swords.
The matron of honor was Jackie Jackson of Fort Worth, and the bridesmatron was Julie Lewis of Winnsboro. Flower girl was Cheyenne Dodson, daughter of Ken and Cynthia Dodson of Decatur.
Best man was Randy Bench of Farmersville, and groomsman was Kevin Brewer of Sulphur Springs. Ushers were Scott Cox of Boyd, brother of the bride, and Jared and Jonathan Gold of Plano. Jared and Jonathan, nephews of the groom, also acted as candlelighters. Ringbearers were Ty and Colby Cox of Boyd, nephews of the bride.
A reception was given by the bride’s friends and family at the Boyd Community Center. Servers were Leah Pegues, cousin of the bride, and Cheryl Cote, cousin of the bride, both of Paradise.
The bride is a graduate of Boyd High School and is employed at State Farm Insurance in Pine Bluff, Ark. A graduate of the University of Texas in Dallas, the groom is a warrant officer in the Marine Corps Reserves and is employed at the General Physics Corporation at the Pine Bluff Arsenal in Pine Bluff.
After a honeymoon trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple reside in Whitehall.

The bride is the daughter of Ronnie and Lissa Lambert of Decatur and Donna Archer of Bridgeport.
The groom is the son of Clyde and Carla Deering of Chico.
Escorted by her father and her son, Bryan Marsh, the bride wore a simple white dress with a simple head band. The dress had a V-shaped back accented with a small rose under the V shape. She carried red- and white-stemmed roses.
Carrie Tremaine of Bridgeport was matron of honor.
John Gibbson, cousin of the groom, of Henrietta was best man.
Flower girls were Kassy Norman, daughter of Pam Norman and niece of the bride, of Krum and Rebecca Marsh, daughter of Beth Marsh, of Decatur.
Rodney Lambert, brother of the bride, of Decatur, Shane Norman, brother-in-law of the groom of Krum, and Trent Teague, brother-in-law of the bride of Chico, were ushers.
The matron of honor wore a red dress with white roses and carried red and white stemmed roses.
Lisa Plemons of Decatur was pianist.
A reception followed in the church fellowship hall.

The bride is the daughter of Louis and Joyce Horton of Decatur.
The groom is the son of Neil and Cindy Burns of Fremont.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white, princess style, A-line gown with a square neck and dropped waist of embroidered and beaded cystalline organza. Embroidered and beaded sheer, three-quarter-length bell sleeves covered cap sleeves. The skirt was made of matte satin with a chapel-length train covered in two layers of embroidered and beaded organza that formed an A-line split in the front of the gown. Her headpiece was a tiara with a fingertip-length veil. She carried a bouquet of a dozen white roses with navy and silver ribbon.
Matron of honor was Carrie Dailey, sister of the bride, of Herndon, Va. Bridesmaids were Mandy Bayaraa of Heber Springs, Ark., and Kari Gage of Decatur. The honor attendants wore navy blue dresses with floor-length A-line skirts and short-sleeve, princess style tops with round necklines.
Flower girl was Hannah Horton of Bridgeport, daughter of Gilbert and Jennifer Horton. Ringbearer was Quinnten Gober of Paradise, cousin of the bride, son of Misty and Kerry Gober.
Best man was Marshall Burns of Fremont, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Andrew Aaron of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Adam Marshall, cousin of the groom, of Fremont.
Ushers and candlelighters were Brad Horton, brother of the bride of Kilgore, and Chris Hughes, cousin of the bride of Decatur.
Guestbook attendant was Neilea Burns of Fremont, sister of the groom. Pianists and soloists were Carrie and Michael Dailey of Herndon, sister and brother-in-law of the bride. Sharon Van Manen of Oklahoma City was also a soloist.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Immanuel Baptist Christian Academy in Decatur. She is a senior at Oklahoma Baptist College in Oklahoma City and will graduate in May 2005 with a degree in elementary education.

The groom is the son of Rip and Sonja Butler of Rhome. He is the grandson of Bernice Miles of Rhome and Shirley Butler of Springtown.
A vase of white roses was placed on the altar in memory of the groom’s grandfathers.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a hand-beaded, strapless princess gown of ivory Dulciana satin and Italian satin, trimmed in rum pink and Alencon lace by Mon Cheri. The fitted bodice was adorned with crystals, sequins and freshwater rum pink pearls. She wore her maternal grandmother’s pearl necklace and carried the handkerchief she carried in her wedding.
The semi-cathedral length train was hand-beaded Alencon lace and attached over layers of ivory tulle accented with sequins and pearls. The Ocone blusher veil was made of illusion and trimmed in rum pink rolled ribbon. She wore a headpiece created by Dallas designer Yooki Yoon that was hand wired with clusters of ivory freshwater pearls accented by clear Swarovski crystals.
The bride carried a clutch style bouquet of Charlotte roses, black magic roses, mini eggplant calla lilies, purple ranunculus, red berries, freesia, viburnum and Gerbera daisies tied with chiffon.
The maid of honor was Jodi Luttrell of Decatur. The matron of honor was Tricia Whiteley Teal, sister-in-law of the bride, of Arlington. Bridesmaids were Amanda Butler Hughes, sister of the groom, of Rhome, Rachel Sturgeon of Irving, Tasha Miles of Rhome, Kristen Williams and Taylor Woods, both of Decatur.
The flower girls were Victoria Brooke Miller of Justin, Shelbee Gosselin of Conroe and Rebecca Lee of Fort Worth.
The best man was Phillip Miles, cousin of the groom, of Rhome. Groomsmen were Gregg Teal, brother of the bride, of Arlington, Gary Hughes, brother-in-law of the groom, of Rhome, Michael Nail of Rhome, Priestly Ledger and Robby Miller, both of Rhome, and Samuel Teal, brother of the bride, of Decatur.
Ushers were Jacob Stephens, cousin of the bride, of Boyd, Chris Word of Rhome, Robert Miles, uncle of the groom, of Rhome and Levi Hughes of Justin.
The ringbearers were Ethan Miles of Rhome, Hunter Eustace of North Richland Hills and Braden Ledger of Rhome.
The guestbook attendants were Natasha Teal, cousin of the bride, of Fort Worth and Amy Cude of Decatur. Members of the house party were cousins of the groom, Heather Lee of Fort Worth, Amber Young of Haslet, Tanya Ledger of Rhome and Cicely Word of Rhome.
Music for the ceremony was provided by pianist Jo Joiner of Decatur and the First Baptist Church Handbell Choir. Kevin Moore of Decatur played “Trumpet Voluntary” for the presentation of the bride and during the lighting of the unity candle, soloist Samuel Teal, brother of the bride, sang “The Lord’s Prayer.”
The bride is a graduate of Decatur High School and is a sophomore at Tarrant County College in Fort Worth. She is majoring in education and journalism and plans to attend the University of North Texas in Denton. She is employed by Memory Lane Gifts in Decatur.
The groom is a graduate of Northwest High School. He is employed by Ace Water Wells in Decatur.
The couple will honeymoon in Cozumel in January. They reside in Boyd.

Dr. Cocanougher and the former Jo Ann Gary, daughter of Fred and Orlena Gary of Decatur, were married Aug. 28, 1954, at Matthews Memorial Methodist Church in Fort Worth.
Charles Marion Cocanougher is a doctor of veterinary medicine who retired from Wise County Animal Clinic. He owns Cocanougher Properties. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church, a distinguished former student of Texas A&M University and served on the Decatur City Council and ran for mayor against Coke Gage. He was also a member of the chamber of commerce and Rotary Club, and was on the boards of the appraisal district and the Texas Veterinary Medical Association.
Jo Ann Cocanougher is a mother and a housewife. She is a member of the First United Methodist Church and was secretary of the first Decatur water board.
They have five children, Gary Cocanougher and wife, Susan, of Decatur, D’Ann Moore and husband, Mark, of Dallas, Beth Short and husband, Dr. David, of Tyler, Scott Cocanougher and wife, Alison, of Selbyville, Tenn., and Mary Kay Battaglia and husband, Dr. John, of Madison, Wis.; and 11 grandchildren.

The usher was James Marcus Goff, uncle of the bride.
Vocalists were Patricia Suzanne Arnold, aunt of the bride, Billy Mark Arnold, uncle of the bride, and Diane Elise Arnold, cousin of the bride. Organ and piano music was provided by Dr. Joey Martin.
Glyn Hubbard Goff, grandfather of the bride, read scripture during the ceremony.
The bride’s dress was an Oleg Cassini creation with strapless satin molded bodice embellished with hand-beaded trim of pearls and crystals.
The skirt was tulle with a sweep train. Her tiara was also of pearls and crystals attached to a cathedral veil. She carried a bouquet of Casa Blanca lilies, white calla lilies and white atika roses.
Jonathan Rickman on the trumpet played “Trumpet Voluntary” as the bride entered the church on the arm of her father.
The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore strapless A-line dresses of hunter green satin accented with long gloves. Their flowers were stargazer lilies and mauve calla lilies.
The junior bridesmaids and flower girls wore identical white satin sleeveless dresses adorned with pearls at the neckline and waist. Each wore a tiara of pearls and crystals and carried stargazer lilies and mauve calla lilies.
The groom and groomsmen were in black full dress.
In charge of the register were Kim Bates, aunt of the bride, and Ryan Culberson, cousin of the bride. The house party consisted of Patty Baker, Cindy Blue, Janelle Berger, Gary, Terri and Kristen Brontze, Mike, Linda and Allison Dietert, Erica DenHartog, Kirk and Rosemarie Gregory, Pat Langston, Jo Ann Robinet, Diane Schultz, Cannis Ulbrich and Susan White.
A reception and dance followed the ceremony.
The bride’s cake was a four-layer, tres leches confection decorated with ivory roses and calla lilies. The groom’s cake was amaretto tres leche iced with chocolate mousse and strawberries.
The Rio Trio played music for the dance and the Grand March was led by Charles and Wallie Mund.
The rehearsal dinner the evening before the wedding was hosted by the groom’s father at the Grist Mill at Gruene. The wedding party and guests were entertained by Billy, Patricia and Diane Arnold.
The bride and groom left the reception in a 1915 Hudson. After a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple will reside in Cedar Park, Texas.

Tony Dickey retired from Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 146 in Fort Worth after 42 years of service. During his last nine years, he served as their business manager and financial secretary. Dorris Dickey retired after 42 years with the Texas Refinery Corp. as an assistant vice president. They have been lifetime Wise County residents.
They have two children, Tony and Missy, and eight grandchildren.

The bride carried a bouquet of red roses and stargazer lilies gathered by her grandmother-in-law’s rosary and a guardian angel pin in honor of her late grandfather. She also wore wedding rings of her grandmother and great-grandmother.
A dinner reception was held by the bride’s mother at Pappou’s Restaurant in Panama City Beach following the ceremony.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Chico High School. She attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls and will receive her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University. She is emplyed as a dental financial coordinator.

The bride is the daughter of Leroy and Karen Self of Bowie.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white strapless satin gown designed by Oleg Cassini with tulle overlay. The satin bodice was trimmed with Alencon lace, hand-sewn pearls and authentic crystals. The tulle ball-gown style skirt had matching Alencon lace appliqués that flowed to the finish of the lace trim surrounding the skirt and extended to the chapel-length train. The matching fingertip-length veil had a satin finish and was accented with pearls and crystals.
The bride carried a bouquet of periwinkle hydrangeas and white roses.
The matron of honor was Stephanie Morgan, cousin of the bride, of Mansfield, Ark. Bridesmatron was Suzann Berg of Decatur. The honor attendants wore periwinkle floor-length dresses and carried small bouquets of periwinkle hydrangeas and white roses.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown with a satin bodice with lace overlay, embellished with Swarovski crystals and bugle beads. The gown had a cathedral-length train with cutwork embroidery. She also wore a rhinestone tiara with a cathedral-length veil edged with rhinestones.
She carried a bouquet of white and cream roses, hydrangea and stephenotis with pearl and gemstone centers hand-tied with a French braid of double-faced cream satin ribbon.
Maid of honor was Leah Mitchell, sister of the bride. Bridesmatrons were Lana Mitchell, sister-in-law of the bride, and Keelie Ferguson, sister of the groom. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Boland, Susan Summers, Kasey Pounds, Chelsey Dane, Misti Hubbard and Sarah Rock.
The honor attendants wore black satin skirts with cathedral-length trains and different tops. They carried bouquets of blue hydrangeas tied with a black double-faced satin ribbon in a French braid.

A hand-beaded border of pearls, sequins and crystals accented with gold thread lined the bodice, waist and full-length train. Small pearls scattered over the gown matched her two-tier silk illusion veil with an organza border that was sprinkled with pearls.

Escorted by her father, the bride carried fresh wine and champagne colored roses. She wore a triple layer, fingertip length pencil veil accented at the comb with two rows of pearl beading. Her white Michelangelo gown had a fitted, satin bodice with a halter V neckline. The gown laced in the back of the bodice. Sequins and floral lace accented the waistline, and the gown flared to the floor in a ballroom style skirt with multiple tiered layers of tulle. A wide skirt and train were also accented at the bottom with the same sequins and floral lace as the waistline.

The bridesmaids wore sleeveless, wine-colored gowns with scoop necklines and fitted bodices that laced up the back. The bodices also had light boning and beadwork on the front. The gowns continued to the floor in a wine A-line crepe skirt. Bridesmaids also carried matching crepe shawls. They wore heeled, strappy sandals and carried bouquets of fresh champagne-colored roses.
Flower girl was Samantha Ufkes, daughter of Paul and Michelle Ufkes of Burleson.
Walter Glow, brother of the groom, of Fargo, N.D., was the best man. Groomsmen were Dean Wolpert of Fort Lauderdale, Paul Ufkes of Burleson, John Trotter, brother of the bride, of Paradise and David Williams, brother-in-law of the bride, of Bossier City.

Flower girl was Madeline Smith, daughter of the bride. Honor attendants carried bouquets of seeded eucalyptus, tree fern and Ruscus.
Best man was James Bryant of Waxahachie. Groomsman were Chad Gilbreath of Haslet and Bruce Laney of Decatur, brother of the groom.
Ushers were Braiden Beck of Decatur, nephew of the groom, and Preston and Cole Odette of Irving, nephews of the bride. Ringbearer was Brody Beck, nephew of the groom, son of Alex and Caron Beck of Decatur.
A reception was given by the couple at the Rocking H Ranch. Servers were the bridesmatrons.
The bride is a 1994 graduate of South Grand Prairie High School and attended the University of Texas at Arlington from 1994 to 1997. She is employed with Dr. John Winder in Decatur. The groom is a 1991 graduate of Lake Worth High School and is a self-employed rancher.
The couple live in Decatur and plan a honeymoon trip to the Bahamas later this year.

Stephanie Kay Richardson of Boyd, daughter of Mike and Debbie Richardson of Boyd, will marry John David Leidel of Denton, son of David and Gloria Leidel of Arlington, on November, 27, 2004, at the First Baptist Church of Boyd.
The bride-elect is a Boyd High School graduate, currently working toward an associate registered nursing degree at Weatherford College. She is employed by Wise Regional Health System in Decatur.
The prospective groom is a graduate of James W. Martin High School in Arlington and will complete a bachelor’s degree in computer science at the University of North Texas on May 8. He is employed by the university.

Johnny and Boots Lewis of Decatur celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary Jan. 28.
Lewis and the former Boots Browning were married Jan. 28, 1950, in Amherstdale, W.Va.
Johnny Lewis retired from the U.S. Army after serving 27 years, then retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Boots Lewis was an active volunteer with the American Red Cross and their church. They enjoy traveling and spending time with their great-grandchildren.
They have two children, Leah Lewis and John L. Lewis of Decatur; two grandchildren, Jenny and Micahel Vess of Boyd and Leah Peel of Fort Worth and three great-grandchildren, Arianna and Peyton Vess of Boyd and Macie Peel of Fort Worth.

Orbie Ray and Roberta Jean Linder of Krum will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a party hosted by their children and grandchildren from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, August 15, at Krum Middle School. They were married Aug. 20, 1954, in Colorado City.
Orbie Ray Linder retired from the Navy. Roberta Jean Linder was the school nurse at Slidell.
They have two children, Les Linder of Decatur and Jana Giraud of Spring. They also have four grandchildren.

Raymond Chesley and Melba Joyce Lunsford of Nocona will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 6, 2004, at Lakeview Church of God in Iowa Park.
Raymond Lunsford and the former Melba Shelton were married Nov. 6, 1954, in Fort Worth.
They have five children, Franklin Lunsford of Lewisville and Michael Lunsford, Jerry Lunsford, Marian Lunsford and Donna Turney, all of Iowa Park.
They also have six grandchildren.
Raymond was in electrical supplies sales. He was born in Missouri, served in the Army in the Korean Conflict and has lived in Texas since the early 1950s.
Joyce was born and raised in Decatur and still has two sisters and their families here. She is a homemaker and worked in retail sales.
